Islamic Calendar is a Lunar calendar , It means that it Changes over time and the placement of each month in a year will be different form previous years. Each month has a special Meanings and it comes in a systematic manner. The Islamic calendar is also named as Qamri calendar or Hijri Calendar. This Islamic calendar depends upon the movement of the moon hence it is called Qamri calendar. The Islamic calendar year starts from the observation of new Moon. There are 12 month in an Islamic calendar. It starts from the Month of Muharram and ends on the month of Zul-Hajj. All the Muslims of the world follow this Islamic or Qamri calendar to celebrate or perform their religious occasions or festivals like Ramazan , Eid ul azha , Eid ul Fitar. RAbii ul Awal, Muharram and many other Special occasions. There are 29 or 30 days in an Islamic month depends upon the observation of Moon in the Country.
